The Neighborhood App Community Standards

Effective August 7, 2026

The Neighborhood App works best when neighbors communicate respectfully and use the service for legitimate local help. These standards apply to profiles, requests, messages, reviews, neighborhood content, and other user submissions.

Be respectful

Do not harass, bully, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or target people with hateful or demeaning content. Do not encourage violence or self-harm.

Keep people safe

Do not use The Neighborhood App to facilitate violence, sexual exploitation, dangerous illegal activity, human trafficking, or requests that create an unreasonable risk of harm. Do not use the service as a substitute for emergency services.

Respect privacy

Do not publish another person’s private contact information, exact home address, credentials, financial information, or other sensitive personal information without authorization. Do not impersonate another person.

No spam, fraud, or manipulation

Do not use deceptive requests, scams, phishing, repetitive spam, fake reviews, artificial reputation manipulation, or misleading identity information.

Appropriate content

Do not post sexually exploitative content, illegal content, or material whose primary purpose is to shock, threaten, or abuse other users. The Neighborhood App may automatically reject some high-confidence prohibited text before it is posted.

Reporting and blocking

Use the in-app Report action when content or behavior may violate these standards. Reports are sent for moderation review with the relevant content context. Use Block when you do not want another user to interact with you through protected The Neighborhood App flows. For urgent safety concerns outside The Neighborhood App, contact the appropriate local authority or emergency service.

Enforcement

Depending on context, severity, and history, we may remove content, restrict functionality, suspend or delete accounts, preserve information needed for investigation, or make legally required disclosures. Reports made in bad faith may also be subject to enforcement.
